ROAD TRIP TO PORT SAINT JOHNS EASTERN CAPE SOUTH AFRICA

Port Saint Johns, Eastern Cape, South Africa

In the town of Port Saint Johns, the picture was taken from the concrete road above the town.

The mighty Umzimvubu river PSJ. Mount Thesiger on the right. Mount Sullivan will be on your left, both known as the 'Gates of Port St Johns'.

The recently paved road leads to Poenskop a favorite fishing spot.

Daylight scene toward Cape Hermes Lighthouse.

This beautiful town situated along the famous Wild Coast of South Africa hugging comfortably the Umzimvubu River is the town of my Birth. I am tethered by my umbilical cord buried somewhere at Greens Farm. I am happily cursed to return to this jewel of the former TranskeiPondoland as it is still known today. The Wild Coast stretches from the KwaZulu-Natal border in the North to East London in the South. As it suggests it is an untamed wilderness.
