WHAT STRANGER THINGS ARE THESE?

Strange exotic mushrooms

Does anyone know what these strange-looking mushrooms are called? These we found along a road in Port St Johns in the Eastern Cape. Not surprised though, as many strange plants can be found along the Wild Coast. Many plants here are used for medicinal purposes but I wouldn't suggest you try any without expert advice. Not even for a bite from annoying mosquitoes which abound in this area day or night. Someone who studies fungi, which include mushrooms is called a Mycologist, had to look that up. Definitely not edible.
